UPDATE -- FKCBlog In Running for MarketingSherpa's Best PR Blog Award

FKCBlog is in the running for the MarketingSherpa best PR blog award.

(UPDATE -- MarketingSherpa has updated its voting link, which was broken, and extended voting until Monday, June 26.  Please vote here.  I've also fixed the link below.)

Since my first post on Dec. 22, 2005, I've tried to make FKCBlog a place where those passionate about communications could go for both practical advice and news on important trends in the PR, IR and news media worlds.

That was 54 posts ago.  It's been a great experience for me, and I hope a useful venue for you as well.

Today, MarketingSherpa announced its short list of leading blogs and podcasts -- out of more than 1,000 entries -- in its 3rd annual Readers Choice awards.  FKCBlog is one of 10 that made it in the PR blog category.

If you like what's done here, please go ahead and cast a vote for FKCBlog by clicking hereVoting ends Friday.  Just scroll down for the PR category.

There are a number of very, very good blogs on this list and some other excellent blogs covering PR and communications that are not.  My key point is this: There are more than a few dedicated people out there who do great work covering our industry and leaving us all a little better informed.

My thanks to all for the fine marketplace of ideas we currently enjoy!
